The World Games are taking place in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and the snooker has reached the semi-final stage.
Sixteen players began the quest for gold, including eleven former or current Main Tour representatives. The surprise of the first round was the 3-1 defeat of Ricky Walden, last season's Shanghai Masters champion, by Wu Yu Lin. He was one of several high profile players to go out in the opening round.
Nigel Bond and David Grace both made it through and followed that with victories in the quarter-finals. In the last four Bond will face Mohammed Shehab whilst Grace will take on Soheil Vahedi.
The semi-finals will be played on 25 July with the final the following day.
